About the Cheese Shop

The Cheese Shop was opened in 2001 and has served as an integral part of our community for eight years. Located in Healdsburg, California, a town at the epicenter of five of Sonoma County’s top wine growing regions. In addition to fine artisinal cheese, we sell Fiorello’s gelato, dry cured meats, wines from around the world, and a wide and rather good seletion of artisan chocolates made locally and internationally.

We are available for private parties, corporate events such as team training and tastings. We work with over 100 wineries in the area, local restaurants and hotels.

About Doralice

Doralice Handal was raised in Ecuador and has spent most of her life immersed in the diverse and rich cultures of South America as well as her own Italian-Arab heritage. She is a veteran of the culinary industry in the Bay Area and continues to cook for both fun and profit. Her biggest passion is sourcing food ingredients from all over the world for her friends in the food industry.

Drawing on her experience with different cuisines as well as her love of Ecuador and her Latin heritage, she decided that she could fill the needs of her friends and colleagues by starting her own imports company and sharing some of the wonderful and rare products that the southern hemisphere has to offer with the rest of the world.
